Teammate in a freak accident

***UPDATE 6/27: Janna's leg was crushed pretty severely. There isn't much you can do when your bones are crushed, so Janna, her husband Ian, and her parents and doctors decided that is was in her best interest to amputate her leg. The doctors cut off her leg today, below the knee, and she will go back in tomorrow to get her leg grafted. Prior to cutting the leg off, she had had 3 or 4 surgeries just to try and save it. Overall, she is in good spirits and I'm sure she will get a prosthetic leg and will be playing ball with us again next year. We surely hope so....

***UPDATE 6/19: She has been moved to a different hospital. They did not do any surgery on her leg yet. They have put her leg in an oxygen chamber to try to get the blood flowing. They are kind of just playing the waiting game....it is still 50/50 on whether or not she will lose her leg.

Yesterday, we just found out that a player on our softball team was in a bad accident. She was on the shoulder of the road trying to jump start the work truck when someone veered off the road & slammed into her and another person. She was pinned between the two trucks so her legs are badly damaged. Last we heard is that she might lose her leg. So sad to hear this news, we're praying that she'll be okay and that her leg can be saved.

Dear Family & Friends

After many months of spending much time searching through many people's blogs, most of whom I don't even know, I have decided to finally get my own blog up and running.  I'm excited to be able to share a little bit about our lives here and to keep family & friends updated who we don't see very often. Since I'm new to this blogging world, our page might look a little funky for a bit. I love it when people update frequently so I am going to try to be like that and post often. We'll see how it goes, but I do think this is a great way to journal and share thoughts, jokes, & stories with people who actually cares. :o)

Thanks for making your 1st visit here and I hope it will be the first of many to come. So here it goes.....a glimpse into the lives of Randy & Diann......
