Remembering 2009

I just wanted to take a moment to remember all the wonderful events of 2009. Ultimately, our baby boy entered into our life just a little over a year ago. He brought such craziness, such joy, such happiness and we just absolutely adore him. He is truly our miracle from our Heavenly Father and we thank Him each day for trusting us to be Devin's mom and dad.

Best friends

Devin absolutely loves his best friend. Every time he sees his friend, he gives him a great big hug and a kiss. They like to lay on the floor together, ride in the red wagon together, as well as take a little snooze in the bike trailer. They sure do have a good time together....

Devin's First Haircut - March 18, 2010

It was that time for Devin's first haircut........his hair was just getting out of control and I just couldn't manage it any longer. Plus, his mullet really had to go! *Sigh*

The mommy in me wasn't ready for this chapter yet as this would mean my sweet baby boy is growing up.....fast. The other day, I was looking around at the other babies his age and they barely have any hair on them! It just amazes me how different each child grows in their own unique way.

I took him to my hairdresser and she did a wonderful job.

Devin's hair turned out really cute. *Sigh* Our new chapter has just begun......

1 year old - March 20, 2010

Devin is now 1 year old - amazing how time flies! We started off his birthday at IHOP. He loves, absolutely loves that place. Who doesn't like breakfast food anyway?!?!

He had pancakes, french toast, hash browns and eggs. He really down his breakfast so fast, almost like he's in a eating contest competition. No kidding!


He was one HAPPY kid, didn't have to tell ya, the picture speaks for itself! :o)





And then later on the day, we went to Pioneer Park to celebrate his birthday. It was a bit warm and chilly at the same time. The sun was gorgeously bright, but the cool wind would come every now and then. Everyone came and they were such a great sport and I think we all had a great time.
We first opened all of his presents and then had cake & ice cream. We gave Devin a little monkey cake as his smash cake. At first, he was skeptical about it, so Randy had to help him along and once he tasted the frosting, boy, there he went and had a ball with it.
